Jeff O'Donnell is a 2002 graduate of St. Olaf College,
where he received a bachelor of music degree cum laude in
church music. He studied organ with John Ferguson and choral conducting
with Anton Armstrong. Jeff was a member of several music ensembles
including the St. Olaf Choir.
As a radio producer, Jeff has had a hand in many successful
radio projects, including serving as co-executive producer of Home,
Harvest and Healing: A Sing For Joy Hymn Festival and
St. Olaf: A Holiday Tradition of Note, part of NPR®'s
presentation of the 2003 St. Olaf Christmas Festival.
When not immersed in stacks of CDs choosing music
for the program, Jeff oversees the production and recording items
for Sing For Joy. He enjoys performing with several Twin
Cities choral ensembles, including VocalEssence. He is a terrible
golfer, but doesn't let that stop him from trying.
Alexis Herman is a graduate of St. Olaf College, where she received a bachelor of arts degree cum laude in political science and media studies. She sang with and managed the St. Olaf Cantorei for three years, and was active in a variety of student organizations. After living in Washington, D.C., she returned to Minnesota to join the Sing For Joy team. For Alexis, music is both work and play--she performs solo and with various choirs and theater groups whenever she has time.
